Worst Part of the Day - This is lame-o ... but I went to Group Power and we had a preview of the "new release" (they do a new release every six weeks or so). And the songs all sucked. Now WHAT do I have to look forward to regarding group power? Also IMP not happy in the child care - but he did let me get through the work out at least.
Best Part of the Day - The final speech evaluation was today - this is to determine eligibility. Then we can (finally) get an actual speech path to meet with SB on a regular basis. So he was (surprise!) found eligible for speech services. But he was not found eligible for Occupational Therapy services and, I think, that is excellent news. And again, the evaluating speech path is now sure that SB just has an articulation issue - he is understanding everything. I put this into practice today. Very clearly I said "we cannot get out the tunnel until you put away your blocks." And after a short stand off .... he put the blocks away. Love it! Too long I fell back on "he just doesn't understand" when really he was just waiting for me to do it.
Also extended the Olive Branch to Erik and while he tried to break it, I shoved it back in his face. And while he is still annoyed with me - at least I know I've done what I could.
