I gotta admit today's 'worst part' was the soccer practice. Very little listening, lotsa ADHD behavior going around and not one Adderall in sight. (Was there some type of lunar thing happening that only affects 5 year-olds? It was every single one of the kids tonight.) I felt like I was channeling a pee-wee coach version of Bobby Knight--"Come on, get yer heads outta yer a**ses!" Alright, I didn't say anything near that, but I did nearly lose my voice after the constant re-directing, re-instructing and tiring reiteration of every single word. Let's focus, Little People!! I may dorkily purchase a megaphone for next week.
Side Note: The end of practice scrimmage was hilarious once again (and made of the shenanigans more tolerable...)
Best Part of the Day-
I was late running back to work after soccer (supposed to be there at 7pm.) As I was pulling in to work closer to 7:15, I received a call that I would not be needed at work! Woo-hoo. I immediately went to see a flick by myself which is a favorite past-time (of yesteryear at this point.) Perhaps contrary to much of society's view, I equate movie going with book reading. I view it as a primarily solitary activity that can clearly be discussed later in a group setting if need be. I absolutely love going alone. I declare that as a friend told me tonight, "Aw, poor you going all alone..." Not poor me, YEAH for me!! Yeah for free time! Yeah for picture shows!!
Funniest Comment of the Day-
S. was trying to describe a boy in her class for me. She said quickly, "He kind of looks like a dark-skinned John Lennon...without the glasses." Would that be pre- or post-Yoko?
