Worst Part of the Day - Really this was about the worst part of my year. SB has been not wanting to nap lately and two days ago asked for "big bed" which is Erik's and my bed. He napped so well in there that I thought "excellent - another way to get him to nap." So today when he asked for "big bed", I put him in the bed and he snuggled in for his nap. My nephews came over about 15 minutes later as Erik and I were babysitting for the day (although Erik got called into the hospital, so it's just me. But no big deal - the kiddos are 3 and 6 and pretty self sufficient). So I'm downstairs with Jack and Carson building a train track when I hear some thumping from our room. But I just think that he heard the boys come in - so I don't take much notice. Then I hear a HUGE bang and I run up the stairs. There is Erik's six drawer, HEAVY dresser pinning SB to the floor. He has just started to cry and I heave up the dresser, look him quickly over and then (BAD) pick him up. I run him downstairs, sit down with him and try to calm him down. Then I know I have to take a look at him - but there is no blood, no visible bruising .... but I'm freaking out. Two minutes later (after some hysterical crying) he hears his cousins downstairs, dries his tears and runs on down. So I check him over and over. Erik comes home from the hospital and I tell him what happened. He checks him over and says "he seems to be just fine." We checked the scene of the accident and it looks like the bed saved him from ... well from something very bad. The dresser landed on the foot of the bed, so only the drawers pinned SB, not the actual dresser. Thank GOD for a small room! It was really freaky, really scary and made me give the ole SB extra special hugs all day long.

Best Part of the Day - Took the kiddos to the playground and just let 'em run and run and run. Good to see them run.
