Worst Part of the Day - After a long day of kid-centric fun isn't it logical that said kids would be:
a. so grateful for the fun that they say "thank you"and/or give hugs
b. are so tried for the fun that they sit in silent gratitude
c. are so happy from the fun that they lightly babble to themselves in joyful contentment
OH wait, it's ....
d. are so damn AMPED UP from the fun that they wig out in the car in hysterical tears, moaning and SCREAMING (and this did happen with their cousins as well, so there must be something to it).
Best Part of the Day - The Pumpkin Patch was filled with animals to feed, pumpkins to pick, slides to ride, wooden planks to jump off of and much, much more. A delicious day of 78 degrees (and me in cords .... still can't get over Oct. not being chilly or maybe am just pleased to be fitting in them - regardless I was a tich hot). We went with Uncle Chris and Aunt Ann and their kiddos and it was delightful family fun for the lot of us until we got in the car (see above). Then we did (against better judgement) go out to dinner at this dive pub/restaurant. The video game corner kept Jack, Carson and SB occupied. The DVD playa' did the same once we got IMP calmed down with some grilled cheese.
Um Next Time Let's THINK Before We Act Moment - While leaving the parking lot of the restaurant this car beeps it's horn and a man shakes his finger at us. So I (being the rash, impetuous, beatchy thing I am) shake my finger right back at him. After a lecture from Erik (he is afraid we will soon be shot) - the issue is dropped. Later Erik says "you know, do you think he was honking because we left the doggie bag on the top of the car?" (This is where I placed it to put IMP in his car seat.) Um ... yeah that's probably why.
