Worst Part of the Day - When Erik went to get gas yesterday, he took my BELOVED navigation system (have I written how I have no sense of direction and my Garmin is like a little Guardian Angel?) He did not put it back in my car and it made me angry and sad (sounds like Therapistspeak - but this is how I felt). This little incident spun my day in a brand new direction ... the morning then seemed to just dissolve. I broke the dog's food dish, almost forgot to make lunches for preschool, forgot a grocery list and then whacked my head (hard) on an open cabinet. By the time Erik got the message and called me - I think he was a little scared. I don't know that I've ever left him such a message (I think I sounded like I was off my meds. And I'm not on meds so that is kind of scary.) But SUCKA don't take my Garmin.
Best Part of the Day - After that morning, I only waited about 30 minutes for NC license plates (and did find the place without said Garmin, so there you have it). Then went grocery shopping and found - HALLELUJAH - a gas station with gas and no lines!! A minor miracle in our Charlotte world, so I filled 'er up. Then I got some lunch, came home, relaxed and went to pick up the boyz. Then after naps we went over to my high school friend's house (she also lives in Charlotte, so cool!) and had a fun afternoon of playing in their newly renovated home. Then started watching The Counterfeiters with Erik - it is really amazing. Can't wait for the ending!

What is up with the gas issue in Charlotte? I am now more alarmed...
It has something to do with Hurricane Ike and a pipeline being broken?? Unsure - but the lines! Oh my the lines. And humanity is not kind during gas lines!
North Carolina must be a red state. I have heard rumors that the gas companies are taking gas from red states and moving it to swing states to influence voters to vote Republican. Sounds crazy until you are reminded that Obama wants to put a windfall tax on oil.
Here in Minnesota, a swing state, gas is at $2.37 a gallon.
I vote Libertarian, so this is a non political message.
By the by, when are the authors of BEST Part/WORST Part going to come visit us in Minnesota?
If you come, wait till May. Nothing to see here in the winter.
I meant $3.37 not $2.37. What, like was I thinking its 2004?
