Worst Part of the Day - The travel day began horribly with rain, rain and torrential downpours on the way from Holland, MI to Midway Airport. Poor, Poor Dad. But we made it and then I had a 7:35 a.m. to 2 p.m. quality and quantity time with the toddler and preschooler on one plane, then layover and then another plane. Other people seem to do this just fine - but for me? It's traumatizing. I just don't like all the POSSIBLES that can and, inevitably do, occur. I did change five diapers in a two hour period - but really? It wasted some time, which was good. In the end, it was as expected - kind of hard with points of "hey, I can do this." The funny thing was SB insisted on sitting on my lap and so both flights IMP sat in his own seat with minimal complaining. In fact, on the second flight he just fell asleep. Is that against FAA regulations to have the 3 year old on your lap and the 20 month old in the seat? Oh well. Best Part of the Day - We made it to Charlotte and the fam is back 2-gether! I felt a sense of major accomplishment here (and like I'm going to sleep well tonight!) So hilarious to watch IMP re-meet the dog - he did a dance around him and kept saying "hi" "hi" "hi" to him. Soon he was pulling his tail and giving him sips of his milk. oh my. Also the IMP drew on our sofa, grabbed a sharp blade from the counter, and threw a bookshelf down on the floor. oh my.
Both boyz went to sleep without much drama (which is amazing considering it's a MAJOR change - must be beat from our travel day). Then Erik and I had taco salads and champagne (yes, Dan, REAL champagne). It's from our wedding and I chilled it thinking 'we HAVE to drink this soon!' And Erik found it and so we popped it and ... I think it ROCKS. Erik thinks like my parents "the cheap stuff is as good as the $$ stuff." Guess I should drink it slooooow as we won't be stocking up on it.
Man I'm glad today is about over!

yay for the move being 'semi-done' (read; the fam is back together)...and I too KNOW (after much research) that some of the cheap stuff is as good if not better, than the cheap bubbly...congrats to y'all! :)
The entire day sounds movie-like...SOOOOO glad your move is complete!!!
