Worst Part of the Day - Mama scheduled a pediatrician appt for the two boyz months ago with a new pediatrician in Charlotte. And today's the day. Even though the boyz will miss a tich of preschool, I HAVE to get IMP in as he is now two months late for his 18 month immunizations. So we head out the door with much time to spare and make the drive. I know I'm the first appt of the day and want to get in and out. Arriving at the office, we walk in to see a line in front of us and a large desk. OKAY so this is an office for little ones and the waiting room filled with toys and books and games is ... where?? IMP's not one to be unaware of his surroundings and he immediately bursts into tears and pulls me toward the door. Sorry, sugar, but mama can't lose her place in this annoyingly long and slow line. So after 10 minutes of him wailing and the other moms (seriously) giving me dirty looks (this isn't a movie, right?) I get to the front and am given five forms to fill out. Really? Couldn't have gotten these to me two months ago, eh? In the meantime, IMP and SB are knocking over a tree in the corner. I finally am gathering my things and the woman behind the desk says "do you need some help?" Nope, I've got it. I head to the waiting room and it's filled with ... nothing. There is ONE book and a lousy fish tank (I see no fish in it). Huh. So we get called back and the check ups go fine (they actually measured IMP twice because they couldn't believe how big he was and SB sat so still during his exam, it was hilarious.). The the doctor tells me there are not shots today. But how can this be - he's late for his 18 month shots. Well it seems that New Hampshire is way ahead of North Carolina in terms of what immunization is given when to little ones. Is there no Federal mandate on this stuff?? I don't know what is scarier - giving it to them early or giving it to them late. UGH.

Best Part of the Day - Dinner and Dexter (Season Two) with Erik. We had to force ourselves to turn it off - so clever and dark and good!
