Worst Part of the Day - Classic rookie error ... Erik and I babysat overnight for our nephews (his brother's boys). We put IMP to bed in his own room on time and he went right to sleep. Then we put the other three all in SB's room. SB in his bed and the other two in sleeping bags on the floor. I did express mild disbelief that this would work ... but then we didn't have any other real options as the guest room is still filled with boxes from the move. But then we did agree that they would mess around for a half hour or so and then go to bed. So after two hours and fifteen minutes of laughter, jumping, horsing around, music playing and the like and after five times of Erik or I going into the room ... we put one boy in IMP's room, one boy in our room and left IMP in his bed. They were all asleep within minutes.
Best Part of the Day - We took the boyz on Uncle Chris' boat and it was soooo fun. A perfect sunny day with warm water. SB was perfect the entire time. IMP started out unsure and crying, but then was in the water laughing and having a great time. A wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Most Disturbing Part of the Day - While driving to Uncle Chris' boat we had to slip in behind him and slightly cut off a truck driver (and I do mean slightly - there had to have been at least a car length and a half in front of him). Well the truck driver honks the horn at us and then speeds up. Erik switches lanes and the guy pulls up next to us, flips us off and honks his horn again. Okay. Then he speeds up and quickly veers his truck over to our lane as if he's trying to run us off the road. WHAT THE FUCK! So I (being so mature and calm) when we pass him again pick up the cell phone and gesture to him that I'm going to call and report his ass. He flips us off again, speeds up and veers his truck over to our lane again making Erik go off onto the shoulder (mind you we are in a MINIVAN with two kiddos and a dog). It was SO crazy - what a psycho and I am going to report his ass - what an angry person!
