Best Part of the Day-
No chiltlins (for the morn):  Scarlet is on the mend after 7 days...she was successfully put on the bus and Liam happily went to the sitters' so Mama went to get a vastly needed hair cut (my frizzy hippie hair was giving me that homeless lady look again).  It was divine to take a moment to beautify and sit and flip through fashion mags.

Worst Part of the Day-
The chitlins:
1).  Liam is in full boy destructo mode (sorry friends who don't like gendertyping, but my girl was never a hitter!).  Liam will now clock anyone in the head quite hard with a toy and then smile as the recipient of his violence looks sad and says "gentle, gentle".  He will be "gentle" for one stroke of the face and then back to smacking.  He also put 2 tooth brushes Lincoln Log style down the bathroom sink.  The toothbrush retrieval process was like an annoying, slippery game of Operation--I did not love.  The finale of his day's antics involved more pain infliction:  in all of 3 minutes, he moved his new kitchen stool (intended for independence, not shenanigans!) and opened drawers and found a box of thumb tacks and proceeded to pepper the stairs with them as I was starting the bath.  When I walked down the steps to grab him I was non-pleasantly surprised with 5 tacks in the feet.  He chuckled...
2).  Scarlet had a note sent home from her teacher that explained how S. "grabbed a fellow student's bottom while waiting in the lunch line...please remind her to keep her hands to herself..."  OMG.  At least her victim of assault was a girl she is friends with.  Scarlet's version:  Her friend asked her to grab her butt and she did it.  She doesn't know why, she just did.  Seriously?  In K-4?

Hmmmm - Liam's behavior reminds me of someone .... but weirdly le IMP now seems to be coming OUT of the destructo behavior. (GOD - shouldn't even write that!! I'm sure more is to come.) Oh and I'm a total sexist now - boys ARE different.

Billy was never a hitter, at least on the football field. S must take after her father...
