Worst Part of the Day - The fridge, the fridge, the fridge. After smelling spoilt milk this morning (and having to run to Starbucks for coffees and Horizon milk drinks), I called the landlord this morning and they started making plans. So they are going to give us their extra fridge as a temp fix. Well after getting the old fridge out (after Erik and he working on it for a hour and a half), he realizes that the other fridge is way too big and won't fit through our small 1950 doors (people needed less than apparently). SOOOO we put all our food in bags and send it to them. And guess what? This is getting so, so, SO annoying. I'm OVER it. New (to me) fridge please!
Also parents left EARLY this morning and when SB figured this out he started bawling. They'll be back, little one. They'll be back.
Best Part of the Day - We went to the Discovery Place this afternoon. It was a great place to kill two plus hours with a special place for the six and under set that was a HUGE hit. Tons of hands on, kid friendly stuff. Then we went (gasp) out to dinner due to our fridge situation (if you haven't heard, I'm ANTI taking the two monkeys out to dinner). And it was ... fine. Actually SB was excellent. He sat in his chair the entire time and ate four slices of pizza (it was a smaller pie, but still!) And the IMP? He was decent. Not great, but decent. And he was strapped in a high chair, so there were no shenanigans. Wow - not bad. Gives me hope for the future. Now let hope this daylight savings doesn't really screw up the sleeping in we've been doing lately (average of 7:30 a.m.! It's like angels singing!)
Also - kudos to Erik and I. We almost got in a little scuffle and then we both backed off, apologized and went on with the day. Let's keep it up team R.
