Best Part of the Day - Took the kiddos to this indoor Mercado. Seriously a Mercado called Plaza Fiesta. You feel like you are walking in Mexico - complete with Mariachi band, flags above your head, Spanish all over and Mexican food, drinks and sweets. Whoa - we did cross the border (to South Carolina - heh, heh). But the best part (kiddo wise) was the huge indoor jungle gym type deal that the boyz played on for hours. We had met up with Erik's brother and his two boyz and all were dead tired by the end. (Actually the IMP was a bit over the jungle gym at first - but was happy to just walk around the Mercado and try to join in other people's Mexican feasts. Smart kid - the food did look greasy good.)

Worst Part of the Day - Were we getting cocky? Um, probably. We all (Erik's brother and his kiddos) went out to dinner and ... well it was more like it USUALLY is. Both boyz were whining and lightly crying as we entered the restaurant. Then after we were seated, IMP took his sippy cup and slammed the bottom of it into the salsa (sauce everywhere!). Then he threw my purse on the ground. Then he threw the bottom of the DVD player on the ground - CRASH!!! (this last one really was like SCREECH the music stopping in terms of all eyes upon us at the restaurant). SB now crying and whining rather loudly. Now I had already ordered a delish frozen marg with salt, so instead of aborting mission - we put on the DVD player and hoped for the best. Whew - it worked (and so did the tequila on my heart rate and sheer annoyance). Rest of the dinner calm due to our kiddos zoned out to Sesame Street. Boooooo.
Also could IMP have a lactose intolerance? Could he be allergic to wheat like his Papa? His diaper rashes are just getting worse and it's not right. We are removing most lactose first ... then we'll see.

Your dining with the kiddos gives me low-grade anxiety just to read about it--that's how it is clear it is MY issue...I am pleased for your gusto and the try, try, try again philosophy.
I am VERY pleased that you got to lounge and read and sip in the AM. Bliss, it is.

Also--the rash could be a food allergy...I would explore that angle.
