Worst Part of the Day - I kept the chitlins on the lowest level of the cottage so as to try and create a peaceful morning wake up for Pate and her boy Bill. All was well until at 7:20 a.m. the baby bulls insisted on being taken up to the main level. Fine, fine. But ze IMP .... something was not correct with the way his smoothie was served and he FREAKED out and cried and cried and cried (and cried). Whew. Finally Pate and then Bill came on down and he joyously greeted them and forgot his sadness and madness.
Also had a moment when I was trying to get the kiddos fed and ready for bed and was being asked lots of questions and there were lots o' people in the kitchen and I felt very hot and .... suddenly I just felt all the stress of the last weeks sitting on me. I took deep breaths and soon once again felt thankful and damn lucky to have all these wonderful adults and children in my presence. Whew. Must get to September 10!
Best Part of the Day - Got preschool secured for SB (and for IMP - they have a 18 month old program - hooray!) Megan, Babs and kiddos showed up right on time - impressive!! Had a super fun playground cousin fun time with all the kiddos. Amy Gast showed up just as we were about to eat (shades of her father - heh heh) - so great to see her. Was served up an amazing meal by Babs and Bill. Had too much red wine while SLAUGHTERING the oldies at 80's Trivial Pursuit. Much laughter, inappropriate comments, smack talk and wild guesses ensued during said Trivial Pursuit game. And up waaaay too late.
