Best Part(s) of the Day-
We safely made it to Michigan!! We made great travel time, visited with a lucid/congenial Grandma, had yummy dinner feast and slaughtered (if I dare say) the "oldies" at 80's Trivial Pursuit. Super duper fun with waaayyyy too much red vino.
Strangest (Tipsy) Moment of the Day-
I do believe I called my mom a "mo fo" in the heat of board game taunting--not angrily/offensively; more like an absurd pet name...she also had much wine and didn't seem phased by it...guess ya had to be there...)
We rushed to the ferry at 5am. The kids were affable, though obviously sleepy. The waves on the great lake were high so it was pretty choppy and the ferry attendants warned us to stay seated as much as possible. I plopped in an Elmo dvd in my laptop to placate the kids and instead of Liam cheering/chanting "Elmo", he started crying/whining and then began throwing up all over both of us. Poor seasick buddy.
