Best Part of the Day-
I had to take Scarlet with me at 5:45am to do my morning jogging with the girls.  She was chipper and wonderful and I could think of no other human I would've rather been with/had fun with at that hour.  She even ran the full 2 miles, showing those lazy teens what is up.  (She does have 2 legs up, though, with her serious power thighs).

Worst Part of the Day
I like to chaperone 1 field trip/summer for Scarlet's preschool program and today was my day.  It was a trip to Miller Park and we planned on touring the field (dugouts, press box and all), playing at the playground on site, watching a Special Olympics little league game, eating a picnic lunch and heading back.  Whew--it was a lot on the agenda.  Scarlet's Lead Teacher left yesterday for maternity leave and the other current teacher was on vacation so today there was a new woman named, Velvet, who did not seem equipped to effectively handle preschoolers.  Thank the lord above that I was there as well as 2 other dads who were exceptional (both previous teachers).  The three of us parents had the kids singing, clapping, playing and basically kept them in check and on task while Velvet huffed and puffed and sat fanning herself looking pretty overwhelmed.  Scarlet said at the end of the trip, "I don't think that lady is a very good teacher."  Uh huh.
