Worst Part of the Day - Militant Sleep Re-Training Program backfires. SB notices I'm in his room (in the other twin bed) and comes over to have some snuggles at 4:30 a.m. Then he seems to be up for the day. I cajole him back to bed several times and suddenly it's 6 a.m. and IMP is up. Booooooooo.
Best Part of the Day - Took boyz to gym and then to Target (want to pick up my free reusable tote). They are good as gold. So good, I decide to get them lunch at Target (who knew! Target is the best lunch going for the pre-school set). They sit still for 12 straight minutes (who's counting?) and eat their lunch. Whew. Only minor complications getting SB away from the amazing automatic opening doors (he's seen them 100's o' times - when will it become old hat??)
ALSO - IMP got a gold star at the gym. When I picked him up the child care ladies all gathered 'round and told me he didn't cry once, he played the whole time and was joyful throughout. Man, they must have cringed every time prior when I brought him him.
Part of the Day When I Realize Maybe We've Overstayed Our Welcome - We get home at 1 p.m. after being gone since 9 a.m. I get IMP straight to bed and my mom takes SB on a walk (of her own volition, mind you). I head upstairs to get on the computer to check out some Charlotte rental places I've contacted. About 20 minutes later they come back. I come down and ask her if she would read SB his three books and put him to bed. And she says "well I've been with him a hour - but I GUESS so." I look at her and say "a hour?" And she says "well 45 minutes." Hmmm - I think it's about time for us to fly the coop.
