Worst Part of the Day - Getting lost on the way back from a playdate because I used the GPS system. I've been to this house before and once I get on the highway I know my way home. However, the GPS was plugged in and I was talking to Sister Sarah and wasn't paying attention and next thing I know, I'm heading north when I should be heading south. I can't figure out if it skipped back to a previous address or if I set it wrong? Either way, it took about 20 extra minutes to get home. Sigh. I'm sure it was user error as usual.
Best Part of the Day - Had a most excellent playdate at my friend Gwen's house. Weirdly she is from my hometown but lives out here. She has two girls - one who will be 3 in March and one who is one day older than IMP. The three year old (Riley) was in a sass-o mood. This child is usually good as gold - but she was put in "time out" four times during two hours. Gwen is seeking an exorcism for her. It's good to see though - because really she is usually so perfect. And it was nice for us to get some "adult" time to comiserate about .... well, everything. I left feeling very relaxed. Too bad I then got lost (see above).
Mama Gaffe o' the Day - The phone rings and the voice asks for IMP's mom or dad. I figure this is the pediatrition calling to remind me of his one year appt. Nope - they are calling because we were a no show this morning. Hmmmm. I'm really, really losing it.

I sooo know that playdate...wondering if this is the first time the playdate was at Riley's house, 'cause I know when Scarlet was 2 and 3 and people would come over she would be change from being "perfect" to The Devil. Weird.
This was the third time we'd been to her house. Her little sister did just start walking about two weeks ago ... I am wondering if that has anything to do with it. And/or she has just about given up her daily nap.
