Worst Part of the Day - Well it most certainly has to be when I got stuck in the driveway. Oh wait, you might say. Didn't you JUST get stuck in the driveway? Oh, why yes I did. Let me tell you how it went down. Yesterday after Nordie plowed I looked the driveway and thought "well I'll have to really cut left when I drive out." After waking the baby from a nap (horrors!!) and bundling the two boyz up and I'm all ready to get to the gym (so motivated, am I! Must be the tight pants.) I get them in the car and head out the driveway thinking of a million things (probably congratulating myself on going to the gym) and CRUNCH! I back right into a mound of BLOCKS of icy snow. And vrrmmm vrmmmm vrmmmm - the car won't move. I sit astounded for a moment and then begin to weep. SB is laughing as if it's a play. IMP is looking at me with worry as the crying is usually his bag. I pull it together. I call for help. (Who knew I was such a damsel in distress? I promise you - that is NOT my bag.)
Best Part of the Day - I pull it together after my weep session. I change out the car seats into Erik's car (he's still out of town) and take the boyz to Gymboree for some MUCH NEEDED running around. They were so happy and I was so happy to chat with the other parents and let them romp. I felt good that I at least got them out of the house. And then the troops came over and (after 20 minutes of chiseling, shoveling and snowblowing), got my car unstuck. Whew. We also did go get Erik from the airport. He is depressed and so mad at himself regarding the test. But he did say "I won't take it out on you guys." Good enough! And it's nice to have him home.
