Best Part of the Day-
Scarlet and I went to the Marquette women's b-ball game this afternoon with my mom and dad. I had not yet been to the Al McGuire Center--it was fantastic.  The players were great to watch and the facility was state of the art, as they say.  My dad is so humble--one would never know he was president of the M-Club (which encompasses student athletes and intramural stuff, I guess).  We had nice (free) lunch at a pre-game M-Club gathering.  The whole day was enjoyable and I felt bad that I had not once supported a women's game while I attended M.U. How markedly un-feminist I was by those actions!
Scarlet had fun walking around and not watching the game, and eating and eating and eating. Cotton candy, popcorn, pink lemonade, and a hot pretzel was on her personal concession menu--after the appetizer (lunch) of sub sandwiches and chips.  (Well that is very much how I was/is).  It was breast cancer awareness day at this game so 100% of the audience was decked out in pink.  This is very much up Scarlet's alley.  When my mom asked her if she wanted to be a basketball player or a cheerleader, I silently chuckled because I knew what her answer would be.  Scarlet gleefully belted out, "Cheerleader!  'Cause they have pom pons and tattoos on their cheeks..."  No duh.

Worst Part of the Day-
This may sound bad.
Scarlet was killing me the latter half of the day.  She was relentless in her "Mom. mom, mom..." She had to the be put on the "Thinking Step" for a spell once we got home from the game.  It was unreal.  Not much listening and a heck of a lot of whining was the theme of the late afternoon.  Oooooo.  It hurts.
