Worst Part of the Day - Something very sad happened today. While upstairs organizing my closet (okay - so I was laying down in my bed), I hear a door open and shut. Weird, I think. Both kiddos are napping. Erik is studying. Hmmmm. I rouse myself from underneath my pristine duvet (okay - it's a little smudgey. Needs a cover) and head downstairs. The dog is lying unconcerned on his dog bed (OKAY - so he's on the couch as usual. Quit yer badgering of my story). Huh, I think. I must have imagined it. I head back upstairs and dive into the bed hoping for a slight power nap. Two minutes later - a door opens and shuts. Then again - a door opens and shuts. Uh oh. I head to the SB's room and there he is opening and shutting his closet door. Oh sigh. Now this kid should have climbed out of his crib about a year ago - but he had some sort of mental mind trick regarding it. Not to mention that I have tried to discourage this very act. Well he's got it now. Oh sigh, sigh, sigh. Whatever will I do without the physical and mental barrier o' the crib? Dern it.

Best Part of the Day - Nordie finally came to plow and the driveway does not look perfect, but it is waaaaayyyy better. The icy "speed bump" is down to a mere curb. Also while booking flights to Jacksonville for a wedding in March, I felt that Erik and I were both very open to each others suggestions (he hates to commit to these things - weird, I know. So it often ends up in drama. But not this time. Loved it.)
