Went to a fund-raiser for Gilda's Club (as in Ratner) which benefits cancer patients and their families and friends. Gilda's Club is a free support group community (as I read the brochure now) with a host of things like book clubs, yoga, meditation, quilting, kid play groups and more. It was at the fancy Pfister Hotel downtown and it featured 15 or so local restaurants with their special treats and yes, open bar. My cousin/friend invited myself and my boss/friend--it was quite fun. Eating, swilling and talking (my favorite things!) We were getting a titch too loud (and almost inappropriate) for the event so went to the swanky bar Blu on the 23rd floor of the hotel. We had martinis and more while looking out at the skyline (there is one, I swear) and Lake Michigan.
A special thank you to Will-O who watched all the kiddos so the ladies could enjoy.
Worst Part of the Day-
The icy, slushy, treacherous sidewalks everywhere! (But mostly the walkways on our property that have been half-assedly shoveled for months now.)
