On my way to work this late afternoon, I received a call that I would not be needed until about 6pm. Doh--I already was showered, in the car, and child-free (a trifecta of freedom...what will I do with my bad self?!) I must admit I felt like I was playing hooky. (I did call Will-O to let him know--as to stave off guilt). I went to the mall, bought a few cute things and went to see a flick. Sinful. I saw No Country for Old Men (inspired by last night's Oscars and the fact I haven't seen any movies...)
Worst Part of the Day-
I looove going to the movies. I like the darkness, the popcorn; the whole theater thing. I feel like a kid in the 1950's--Oooooo, a picture show!!
No Country for Old Men...hmmmm...intriguing and somewhat haunting--it seemed very Quentin Tarantino with all of the bloodshed. I do not think it should have won best picture (even though I did NOT see any other of the nominated movies...so basically I should not comment.)
I wanted much more from this film.
