Best Part of the Day-
The good days keep comin'.
For my recent birthday Cousin Molly gave me a gift certificate for a 90 minute massage! Good golly Miss Molly.  Today was my day to receive the gloriousness.  The massage therapist was quite good.  I liked her stated policy of "I don't initiate conversation, I just massage".    Yes, yes.  I fell asleep during it and woke up drooling and the whole bit.   Divine.
On the way home from the massage I swung by the DMV as it was on the way (and I am almost 2 months late to renew a driver's license--eek.)  As I pulled in to the parking lot I only saw 2 cars.  I wondered if they could be closed because it was snowing fairly hard and you know, these days they close all sorts of Wisconsin businesses and schools when it snows... Anyhoo, much to my delight it was open and completely dead.   The sign said "Number of minutes to wait--zero". The staff was jovial and I was out of there with my shiny (it really is) new (legit) license in under 5 minutes. Mama say wha?   Hip hip hooray for government offices with friendly staff and efficiency!   (And fearful Wisconsinites who don't venture out when it snows!)  And 90 minutes of "me" time!  The stars may be aligning.

Worst Part of the Day-
My little Scarlet is still illin.  She continues to be pale and sans appetite.  She was craving apple slices this morn and that seemed pretty benign, so I gave in.  Two minutes later she sprayed apple chunks all over the couch and her blankets.   If she were 17 years-old I would think she was pregnant (that sounds weird, sorry).  She has had such sporadic vomiting over the last 3 weeks:  puke one morning, then fine for days, then one incident at night, fine for a week, and now an issue two mornings in a row.  So strange, nothing consistent.  I have some Zofran in the fridge (which is magic prescription stuff for "intractable vomiting"--they give it out in ER's, etc.) and I may give her some if she is in jeopardy to missing her highly awaited preschool Valentine party on Thursday.

I wouldn't want a babysitter to be scrubbing toilets while she or he is supposed to be watching the kids. You can't do both things well.
