Tonight was "Date Night" at Scarlet's preschool. This means that we could drop off the kiddos and go out from the hours of 6-9pm. The proceeds go toward classroom books, arts stuff, etc. It was pretty hilarious to see Liam (as the day care rookie) ogle and awe at all of the sights. Look--little tables, mini chairs, toys everywhere! Zoinks. He ran into a ball pit and said "baah" (his word for ball) over and over with sheer delight. Heaven. He new thing is to say "hi" to everyone and it is extra cute because it is real breathy and drawn out--"hhhhhh-eye". Scarlet had a blast ruling her roost and introducing her buds to her little brother. It was precious. Neither one of them batted an eye lash at Will-O or me leaving.
Will-O and I went out for Mexican. Fish tacos--good. Margaritas--great. Date Night--yeah!
Worst Part of the Day-
I had an emotional moment at work. A 14 year-old girl with whom I work is in desperate need of a foster home. I have this completely impractical but nutty strong feeling of becoming a foster mom ASAP and taking in this girl. "Treatment Foster Parenting" is where you take kids for a limited time (1 month or so) until a family member or a group home can be found. It's just that this girl is very bright and sweet--she's a good kid and she has potential!! She doesn't have a fighting chance to be ANYTHING if she doesn't get out of her world. Immediately. Please don't misinterpret me for thinking my world is superior to her. I know it is. She comes from generations of moms who have babies at 16 years-old...no one has a clue in this family. For example, her mom (who is 6 years younger than me!) sat this girl and her 3 sisters and 1 brother (all ages 15-10) down one day and told them she had something important to say. The mom then gave a speech and specific instructions on how to perform fellatio. Holy cats! Yeah, it's bad. An that's just the tip of the spooky ice berg. It is Pimps Up, Ho's Down times 10--everybody sleeping with everybody else in the home, blah, blah, yicky blah.
I know I can give more to this girl and kids like her: structure, stability, love and caring. And vastly different speeches...
I feel terrible that I can't do it today. It is breaking my heart.

Hi Megan!!! I just went on Facebook and saw your contact table...Well, I was reading all this and I think your heart is enormous!!! and humble... Hope you can help this girl...
Also, for d rash the best is Triple Paste ( walgreens) in 2 days you will see the amazing results...
XOXOXOXO love you...N.
Well MamaMeg...now you have 2 great choices for the rash...The triple paste I use for M with his severe skin problems and eczema... and on Cookiebaby depends on her meals or drinks that trigger to this rashes ...But also, what my friend and I discover with the girls, both having the diaper rashes that after a few weeks testing the diapers from different brands and types, that the only one who did not caused any rashes was PAMPERS BABY DRY...and since then none of the girls had problems. With my Cookiebaby, when she drinks juice or eats tomato, she gets red and is when I use a thin layer of the Triple Paste...So, if you want, try this diapers. Also, the wipes, the one we use are from Costco. Good for the babies, kids and us!!!
Love you Megan...and send my love to all...By the way, How is my Sean? What about IG? Never heard from him and Alexa and we don't know anything about the baby...
XOXOXOXOX Mucha salud para mi BillyBoy...XOXOXOXOX
Nat - it's Megan's cousin Molly (I'm the one with the diaper rashed bebe). I believe we met in Chicago at that large, airy apartment? Although he is a boy - I might try the Pampers Baby Dry (I use the Pamper's Cruisers now). I find that spraying him with California Baby Diaper Area Wash and letting him walk around to dry it off (might get some pee on the carpet - but oh well!) and then applying whichever daiper cream (I actually like Burt's Bees the best myself - but the tubes are too small!) works. But I like your ideas - thanks!!!
How funny!!! Hi Molly, of course I remember you...Nice to hear from you... And yes! try the stuff...My son when he was a baby he suffered soooooo much with his skin, so they send him to the top Dermathologist @ Northwestern and well...his skin got better. I also love natural stuff...I use to prepare chamomile tea and pour it in the tub and apply more later with cottonball aridry , paste and it worked great too... After havng my second, is when I discover the diapers...If I won't known that before... Well, Molly hope baby feels better soon and stay in touch...XO Have a nice weekend! Nat
I meant Children's Memorial Hospital...but Thank you for your kind offer and info. So far my baby is doing great and I will get the Dr. Smith's next time to try it.I loooove Mayo Clinic! I'm reading their book about alternative medicine and is wonderful, also combined with some Dr. Oz's great ideas to live life to the fullest, since I switched all my cleaning products,to non toxic, biodegradable ,etc my house and family we feel so good, even my M with asthma has no problems so far... like I mentioned before, I rather natural stuff than all the toxic chemicals and pills, etc...I wish this natural products and organics can be More affordable for all of us, we really need to make the good changes for a long living for the only place where we can breath, The Planet Earth... Have a great week!!! Nat.
