Worst Part of the Day - THE COLD. MY GOD THE COLD. I mean, really, does it have to be so cold?
Best Part of the Day - Erik's partner's mother-in-law is one neat-o lady. She is 80-something and still kayaks, dances, hikes and parties with young and old alike. She was in remission from cancer, but it looks like it has come back (we found this out a week ago). At a party, she and I were discussing chocolates (surprise!) and she said that See's from San Fran is her favorite. I had ordered some for her when I heard that the cancer had returned and they arrived today. Sweets for a sweet. Now I love my G-Ma, but she is not my role model for getting old. This woman - she could be my role model. Vibrant, youthful and so fun and interesting to talk with. I hope to bring the chocolates to her tomorrow along with one of those "Quotable" cards "If you're going through hell ... keep on going." Yup. Keep on going.
