I received a call from my travel nurse recruiter inquiring about a paycheck from April 4 that I apparently have not cashed. I explained that I haven't cashed any of the checks as it is all direct deposit. She told me "yes, it is, but the first check of any assignment is an actual check." I had an oh my heavens moment and I rushed over to my financial files and there it was--a check for a chunk of change--that I mistakenly thought was merely the receipt of the direct deposit. Woo-hoo! The recruiter ended the conversation making a comment like "wow, most people would've missed that money back in April..." Not when you are flying by the seat of your pants for months on end...plus, most people aren't as loaded as me (heh heh).
Worst Part of the Day-
I was stung by a wasp multiple times!!! In the car. Ahhhh. It hurt and I screamed. It freaked me out. I had just gotten in the car and bam---sting, sting, sting--just when ya least expect it. I screeched and ran out of the car swatting and jumping.

It's funny how finding money (be it a $10 in your pocket or an uncashed check) is such a rush! Feels like free money!
