Today is my mom's 60th birthday and the celebration was an all-day event.
First we met for "sporting events" which included 4 teams of 2 competing in: golf chipping, free throws, jarts, water balloon toss and a kayaking race. Will-O and I were a team--we placed last...(It was a gorgeous day!)
She then prepared a full meal (I know, I know, it's her birthday--but this is what she likes to do, people...) and made a cake and pie from scratch.
All in all, it was a delightful gathering with family and friends (and ice cold libations).
Note: thankfully there were NO sex, drugs or rock n' roll at this party (only easy listening) as her invitation alluded to...whew.
Worst Part of the Day-
Sean's girlfriend, Alli, sliced her foot in the lake after the kayak race and had to go to the ER and get 7 stitches!! (This girl is full of medical mishaps...if can happen, it just may happen to Alli). I felt bad for her.
At the end of the night, I was having an allergy attack so bad that my left eye was about to swell shut and I had the major itchy/sneezies. We had to leave and not stay the night. (That means no sleeping-in and no yummy brunch and organic coffee delivered to my chambers in the morn...wah.)
