Holy cats---sleeping the hell in and being alone in my own home.
I did so much with my newly designated Day of Freedom. I completed 2 mini home projects, cleaned out drawers, did laundry efficiently and in peace, watched There Will Be Blood, took a nap, took a walk, AND went to work. Whew. (Thank you, Mom and Dad--it all works out in the end).
Worst Part of the Day-
I had my parents drop off the kids at my job as it would be a few minutes closer for them. Scarlet occasionally goes to work with me so she knows the deal and it is VERY do-able to have here there. Liam has not gone to work with me since he was a wee one who would sleep through staff meetings in his infant carrier. He was an adorable terror today. He wanted (as all 16 month-olds do) to run through the halls and explore every nook. At one point it took me over 9 minutes to fax 3 papers because I had to keep interrupting myself to save him from imminent danger in the work place--cords, non-secured book shelves, reams of paper stacked twice his size.
Please mark my words that he will not be going to work with me for even a minute until he is 3 years-old.
I left sweating and winded.
