Meeting peeps out for a friend's birthday. Lots of laughs, fantastic conversation and many a mojito.
Worst Part of the Day-
I had arranged for my parents to watch the kids today and overnight as Will-O had work stuff in Chicago and I had plans to go out (in addition to decompressing from my long ass work week).
As always, my mom told me she of course would love to watch the kids, but they had a wedding to attend during the day. She gave me the option of getting a sitter for the wedding time or said I could just come and hang with the kids until they returned home. She said "they wouldn't be long" and I never thought to clarify an exact time. As they were leaving for the wedding around 1:45pm, my mom said, "See you around 9." 9 pm?, I wondered. Huh. I guess my day of freedom was more like watching the kids at my parents' house.
Lesson learned: Will clarify the specifics next time. Will opt for the sitter.
