I gave Scarlet the "don't talk to strangers" talk. Of course she has heard this bit in preschool and briefly from Will-O and I, but she asked about it today and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to exbound. Will-O and I are not into the scare tactics of all strangers are going to harm you! Plus, our highly social daughter who begs to meet and talk to new people wouldn't buy that anyway. After our short discussion about most people being good/decent and a small group being naughty, she said "I get it, Mom--some people have thunderstorms in their minds, but most people have rainbows in their minds." Good, she does get it.
Worst Part of the Day-
Liam awoke seven times in the night. (I swear he does not have an immune deficiency...) He didn't have a fever, but was crying his little eyeballs out and was VERY clingy. He was hanging on me for dear life. It was clear something was up. He kept pulling at his right ear and I was certain it was a painful ear infection. He slept on my chest for rest of the night which means I did not sleep a wink. Akin to caring for a newborn. Poor bud. (Sleepy mama).
