Because I grew up with the crappiest of crappy cars I semi-know many little car fix-its. One little fix-it with dead car batteries is to fill the battery cells with distilled water and somehow this helps with the electrical something to the something. (Who knew?) It was a beautiful morning and Will-O had strolled kids over to the sitter's so I thought I would take a block and a half walk myself to our neighborhood store and get distilled water to try my luck. The store didn't carry distilled water so I decided to be a slacker and cut through a parking lot on the corner. As I cut through the lot I glanced up at the sign and saw "Car Care Center". Huh. I had never noticed this sign before (yes I have driven past this daily for 2 years) and went in to see if they could help me. Ta da! A cheerful twenty-something guy says of course they can help. He kindly walked to the house with me in the gorgeous sunshine, jumped the dead-ass car in the garage and we took the 20 second drive to the luscious "Car Care Center". Within an hour I had a new battery installed, and oil change (on my to-do list) and new windshield wipers (much needed).
Worst Part of the Day-
When I took a rare bathroom break at the hospital I made the mistake of looking at myself in the mirror. Note to self: harsh, fluorescent lights coupled with very little sleep equals a haggard old lady face. Where oh where are you Restalyne?
