Worst Part of the Day - This actually was kind of funny, but I did feel bad for SB. IMP is snoozing and I'm on the computer and suddenly I hear Erik yell "OH SB NO NO NO NO!" I'm thinking the kiddo is about to pull the TV on himself or has his hand around a knife. SB starts WAILING (the tempo of which makes my skin crawl - that WAIL that says something is REALLY wrong.) I run out in a panic to find SB has drawn a nice, wavy green line on the bright yellow walls of the dining room. Erik is about beside himself, sitting helplessly on the couch with braced leg propped up. Of course Mama knows (as any parent dealing daily with toddlers knows) that the marker is water based and very washable. So I comfort SB who clearly is either a. not used to being yelled at in that way OR
b. suspected he had actually done something wrong.

Then I take out a wet paper towel and WA LA the marker disappears. Erik was impressed but then says in an out loud voice that maybe all the walls need to be wiped down (a fair amount of dirt came up with green marker). "Huh - who is going to be wiping down the walls," I think.

Best Part of the Day - Okay so both of Erik's online tests for the NC license are now passed. That is a relief (and yes, I was a large part of the preparation for this - not just an innocent bystander). Also, during nap time I ran some fun errands and got lunch for Erik and I. It was kind of like the lazy, heady Sundays of yore when we would just decide at the last minute to go out to lunch. Kind of, but not quite. Still, it was lovely and lazy in it's own way.
