Best Part of the Day-
Highly productive in the work force.   Short story:  Possibly made some head way with a non-bright (seriously, the dullest tool in the shed) pregnant teen at work.  My lunch hour was kicked off (just when I am finally about to sit down and eat!) with this girl faking a seizure.  She was literally crossing her eyes and foaming at the mouth--FYI-true, one may foam at the mouth and one's eyes may roll back in one's head while seizing, but they do NOT cross.  She was carrying on and sobbing and would not respond to the question, "What is wrong?"  Just more sobbing and rocking.  Annoying mostly as I was excited to eat.  After me being seriously nonplussed with these antics and after many minutes (that must be tiring for a preg to fake convulse like that) she admitted she was "overwhelmed" with the pregnancy and conflicted with her choice to keep the baby as well as the thousands of other crazy feelings even a normal 30-something mom has:  Will the baby be o.k.?  Am I doing everything right?  Could the baby have a birth defect?  Is this baby alive?, etc.  We talked and talked and I tried to validate her fears and concerns and gave her some pregnancy books/literature.  We went online and I printed out her own pregnancy calendar according to due date.  We went through why it is important to know one's last menstrual period and how many weeks pregnant she is at all times.  We discussed that each pregnancy is different and she should not compare and contrast hers, etc.  I told her to write any questions down for me or her OB/GYN and to ASK them at the appointments.  Whew.  It was a lot, it was remedial, but it was necessary.  Hopefully some of it stuck.  This poor girl.  The poor babes.

Worst Part of the Day-
Non-productive in the work out zone.
