Both chitlins were snoozing (snoring, even) by 6:55pm. Whew. They were beat from serious rough housing play with their Poor Ol Pa. (Man, I am so pleased that males enjoy that physical play--I would much rather do puzzles with them...) It was an amazingly efficient bedtime. No tears, no fuss, no stalling.
Worst Part of the Day-
I assisted the pregnant resident at work to call her OB/GYN and attempt to get the results of her amniocentesis from last week. (Her initial labs screening for Down's Syndrome was "high" and she had the amnio done right away.) I scripted the call out for her and had her do the dialing, the talking, etc. I really wanted her to KNOW the results (and she is aching to know) and start the planning, educating process, talking with family, etc. Does the baby have Down's Syndrome??? The nurse at the Dr. office said the results were back, but the doc hadn't reviewed and they would call ASAP when he did. No call back today and this resident left this eve for a weekend pass to home. More waiting. Agonizing waiting. A tall order for anyone (let alone a pregnant teen with very little skills).
