Best Part of the Day-
I love you, Job#1. You are sooo easy and flexible and fun. Smooch, smooch, smooch.
Worst Part of the Day-
Scarlet has broken another piece of furniture with her constant jumping and gymnastics (so far the total is: 2 beds, 2 chairs.) Jeez.
Best Part of the Worst Part-
Scarlet and I have started a wonderful communication re: her behaviors. We have an agreement that she tell me the HONEST TRUTH about why she does things (like jump on furniture when she knows darn well she should not.) She will verbalize, "I just wanted to do something bad..." This has prompted me to let her know, "I get it! I was once a wild child!" She gets a huge kick out of my rebellious youth stories...then clean ones. The best part of all this is that she can at age 7 connect the fact that jumping on furniture, breaks it, makes more work to clean it up and replace, etc and ultimately lets down someone (i.e. Mom). She is able to see that her actions can hurt others even if she doesn't intend to. She is more evolved than her parent, ahem.
So our deal is if "she just want to do something bad", let me know. I'll get some old junk for you to beast on. And then 50 laps in the backyard.
