Best Part of the Day-
Scarl had her 6 year-old Well Child Check and she was a rock star. During the initial interview when the doctor asks the parent a slew of questions about the child, Scarlet interrupted and said plainly, "I think I can answer these...they are all about me. I know more about me than my mom." She received 2 vaccines and a flu mist like a stoic old man. (She used to declare that she LOVED shots.) After these 2 she changed her tune, "Alright, that does sting. I don't love shots, but I have to take them and it's fine." Fair enough.

Worst Part of the Day-
Liam was a horror in the Dr. office. omg. He was physically sprinting down the halls and generally not listening. He was opening drawers and trying to pull out supplies. It was annoying to say the least. At one point the nurse said to me, "Wow, you've got your hands full." Code for that child is nuts! After nearly an hour of chasing around my freak show boy, all I could do was huff and puff and feel my blood pressure rise. Scarlet remained calm and summed it up wisely as I chased Liam out, "Ya know--he's a typical 2 year-old."

Doesn't it slay you when Ped offices are not child proofed? That's what I always think when chasing my children around there. Um sorry about the 55 now contaminated tongue depressors ... maybe you should get some of those drawer thingies that make it so kiddos can't open them??

Good point. Like my kids are the only curious ones? Alright, mine are a tad nuts-so.
It was soooo much to handle.

Miss - if I've heard "you have your hands full" once, I've heard it 100 times. I'm right in your boat. Promise. And it CAN'T be just us.
