Best Part of the Day - Successful Disney day - eleven straight hours at the Magic Kingdom. High points were:
- Wes riding Space Mountain (roller coaster in the dark) twice after JUST making that height requirement. You need to be 44 inches tall to ride it and he must be 43 3/4. Quinn did ride it once and then calmly said "I don't want to do that again." But Quinn did thoroughly enjoy the other roller coasters which I thought was cool and unexpected.
- Rocket Ride at the end of the day. The sun was setting and you could see the castle and part of the light parade - really rather beautiful.
Worst Part of the Day - I could not seem to get hydrated. Every time I would buy a $2.50 bottle of water it would be gulped up by the males. Hot, sweaty and on high alert for 11 hours (where's my wallet? where's my camera? where are the kids?) is exhausting. Also, limited vegetarian options left me feeling shaky by the end of the day. Luckily I had some salmon back at the hotel and immediatly felt better.
Absolute Worst - Lost Wes for a heart wrenching, gut twisting 18 minutes. He was there and then he was gone. Poof. We lost sight of him for maybe 30 seconds and could ... not ... find .... him. The vendor who helped me at the start of this was CLEARLY not schooled in damage control. She asked "how old is he?" And I said "Three and a half" and she gasped. Then five minutes later she asked "how long has he been missing?" And I said "about 10 minutes now" and she gasped and put her hand over her mouth. UM - YOU ARE NOT HELPING. Then Erik came back with him in his arms and I started to cry and Wes clutched Mickey Mouse sitckers. Then about 20 minutes later I was about to kill him again. The next day Wes reported "if I walk away and get lost, I get stickers!" And I turned on him and said "NO, YOU WILL GET A SPANKING!"
