Worst Part of the Day -Can feel that black cloud creeping back over my head. Bad mood - begone wit cha. Also the day began warm and then by 1 p.m. was (again) cold. I don't get this weather! Then the rain poured on down, so he boyz and I (with much tv and computer time) had an indoor day.

Best Part of the Day - Got some good erranding done for my parent's arrival (a visit/babysit deal). I think I might be prepared ... except I keep forgetting the basics.

Worst Part of the Day - Felt like a cartoon character with that little black cloud hanging over my head. It took me about two hours - but I finally shook that thang off and went on with my day. Just overall bad mood - but had to tend to others so could not let it fester.

Also could not get myself to bed this evening - I was beat, but just couldn't call it a night.

Best Part of the Day - Hanging with Erik for the day. It's sooo nice that he can hang here until 6:30 p.m. What a treat to have the whole day.

Worst Part of the Day - Tired and slightly hung over (not as bad as Erik - heh, heh). Just felt crappy and disengaged from life - just wanting fries and a nap. Kiddos came home while I was teaching at the gym and Erik put them directly to bed (they were soooo tired). They were crabby for the majority of the day - so we all were just o so pleasant for the Sunday.

Best Part of the Day - Sleepover went well! M only had a couple problemos - minor stuff. And all the boyz had a blast playing with each other. How nice. Next time we get all four boyz while M and her hubby get to have a night off :)

Erik and I watched Inglorious Basterds and I found it very interesting and amusing. Could have done without a couple scenes - but overall, really a goodie.

04/24/04: Six Years, Five Homes, Four Cities, Three Jobs, Two Kiddos = One CRAZY marriage. Love you Babe, can't imagine it with anyone else.

Best Part of the Day - Found a new stylist and had an appointment for today - and I think she did a grand job. Kiddos went over to my friend M's house for a sleepover (!) and Erik and I met two other couples out for dinner. So nice to jaunt out for the evening with your babes well taken care of and nary a care.

Worst Part of the Day - Unlike my bestie Megan - I actually HATE going to bars. I used to love, love, LOVE it. Now I can only think - if I'm going to be staying out this late, I'd rather be at the cinema watching Hot Tub Time Machine (I actually do want to see this movie). I would have rather had dessert and coffee or talked longer at the restaurant. Booo to the bar.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIK! Sweet, Sweet ... wait how old are we? I only know that you are older.

Best Part of the Day - Lunch with my pal J and all four of our youngins. Quinn went on a minor eating strike - the fried chicken not up to his McDonalds/Morningstar standards? Wes mostly good - eating a bit o' everything. J's kiddo sitting nicely in their chairs. Then over to J's house for some playtime. Erik home by 6 p.m. We had candles, cake, singing ... Wes announced that it was the best birthday ever. It's true - you really only need cake, candles, singing and some family around and it IS the best birthday ever.

Worst Part of the Day - Is it weird that in Charlotte it will be warm at 9 a.m. and then will cool down by 1 p.m.? I find it disconcerting and hard to dress the babes.

Home after my 13 hour day. More snugglin and readin of me book.

(Started the girls at work on a Fitness Unit for my health class. We will be practicing for and then doing the Presidential Physical Fitness Awards. The girls are pretty pumped...many have never done much fitness or pushed themselves in any way physically...we shall see.)

Worst Part of the Day-
A long busy hospital day. Note: there are always hospital staff who get seriously crabby when it's busy...puh-lease just deal. It's a job.

Best Part of the Day-
I actually had a remotely relaxing Sunday!!! I have not had this in years...I read The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo for roughly 5 hours today. My dream come true.
Here's how it went down: read for an hour instead of working out when went to the gym this morn, Will-O took Scarlet to run errands and Liam just snuggled (with no tv on!) on the couch while I read for over an hour, read from 8p-11p in my cozy bed.

Worst Part of the Day-
Very tie tie as I stayed out waaaaaaaayyyy toooooooo laaaaate last night.
Here's my problem: I never really want to go out to bars because I am too old and tired and seriously don't prioritize that madcap behavior. But when I do venture out to the bar scene I instantly recall with such clarity that I love the bar scene. I chat away with friends old and new (the dim lighting nicely hides my under eye circles) and I feel right at home. Until 3am strikes...

2. Headed out to fun time B-day gathering for 2 friends this eve. Made it pretty much on time and I was even showered with lip gloss=fancy!

Worst Parts of the Day-
1. Had to go to work for a spell (kinda want 1 day without work...possibly tomorrow...)
2. Missed the 3rd annual pizza contest due to lack of time/notice and inability to be in 2 places at once.
3. Waited in line at Boston Market (only for the sides, of course) for over 22 minutes. The most popular place in town? Not as good as I remembered from 1997...

My parents picked up the kids for a planned overnight. Will-O and I went out to a "business" dinner so we could discuss calendar and estate things AND our upcoming rummage sale. It was our third childless conversation in 6 years. I'd say it went well.

I was hit with a bit of the exhaustion bug right after dinner. I could only muster enough energy to throw on my sweats and sleepily watch my beloved Dateline...could not make it to go and see a widower friend and phenom drummer play on the eastside...could not make it...

I finally helped someone else (I am forever asking and needing help, it seems...) A co-worker at job #2 who has not taken a day off in over a year (!) asked if I could cover her this afternoon for a 4-hour time frame. Though I should've been putting in face time as job #1, I scooted off to help co-worker get the heeeel out of there. It feels good to help. (I want to help!!)

Worst Part of the Day-
Just lost a sitter for Saturday night...argggghh. Have pizza contest and B-day drink gathering on the evening docket and now am feeling ho-hum...

Went to a Chiropractor and he made several very satiisfiying neck/back cracks and I am feeling good in the hood.
Also, Will-O home from NYC one day earlier from his planned 7-day trip of video filming...it is helpful to have him (anyone!) pick up the kiddies to lessen my rush. I had to simultaneously chuckle and roll eyes when he told me of his vid shoot with Tila Tequila...oh my god, indeed.

Have moderate discomfort (this is a bit for me as I rarely have any physical discomforts...) in my right neck/back region. I am atypically calling a Chiropractor as I really feel like I need a spinal adjustment. I think it would do the trick, indeed.

Cousin S. came to help me out with the kidlets (big time) as I had my Monday night meeting. Soooo fantastic of her...such a great image of a sobbing Liam in her unphased, capable arms. (Note-Liam was way over tired and may have hit the sack just shy of 6:40pm and slept til 8am the next day.)

Worst Part of the Day-
Feeling for my cousin, J., (who is just 6 months older than me!) who recently underwent a liver transplant. Feeling for his enitre family who are on pins and needles with this intense experience. My prayers to ALL.

Best Part of the Day - Taught Centergy twice today (once at 10 a.m. and once at 7 p.m. We're team teaching for 'Launch Week') and it all went just fine. Then quickly got some errands done and run.

Took boyz to Chick-Fil-A for 'Pirate Night' - pirate boat bouncy house, games, books ..... huge success and hilarious to watch them being read to by other adults. Quinn also made sure that Wes got a pirate hat which I thought was big brother adorable.

Worst Part of the Day - Dragging kiddos out of Chick-Fil-A to the gym for the 7 p.m. Centergy class. They complained the whole time and were clearly SO tired. By the time I got them out of childcare they were just miserable. One woman said "the older one was hungry, so I gave him a granola bar." Yes, I'm sure he was starving as he just had greasy fast food prior to coming here. We walked in the door, I took them upstairs, laid them down and they were out two MINUTES later. Then mama had a beer.

Best Part of the Day - Cleaned out my closet! OH I love completing this task. Looks sooo much better. Two garbage bags to Goodwill and one box to Megan, Babs and Sarah (which they can use or donate.) Also had the boyz help me clean up the basement (which they actually helped with - bribery works!) And then a general decluttering.

Out to lunch with seven lasses for my friend B's birthday. I know someone out there wants to slap me - but you really can eat so healthy at Asian restaurants.

AND my back feels AWESOME. Love it.

Worst Part of the Day - Wes tried to fall asleep at 4:55 p.m. today. Um .... no way, buddy. The sleep train left the station around 2:30 p.m. It was BRUTAL to try and keep him up. Let's just say that chocolate milk was involved.

Best Part of the Day - Today in preschool it seems that three children (Wes, Bella and Connor) were using their outside voices inside. They were warned two times. Then Connor and Bella continued and Wes (gasp) did as he was told. So Connor and Bella were sent to the office. The punchline is that when Miss Sherry was telling this story she ended it with "I think Wes learned his lesson from his timeout this morning." Sounds about right. Also glad to have a grrrl in the naughty mix. Go Bella!!

Worst Part of the Day - Feel like there are many phone calls to be made and organization to be done and I just can't bring myself to do it. And then that makes me feel overwhelmed (but if I just DID the things, then I would feel better. Vicious circle of my own making.)

Best Part of the Day - Babied my back today and I think it is now on the mend. Hooray. Erik home until 7 p.m. - so nice that he can hang for the entire day before he heads back to F-Ville.

Worst Part of the Day - Quinn's softie has been lost for a week now. Also Clarence (the dog) - his collar has been gone going on two weeks. Where ARE these items?? So annoying.

Best Part of the Day - Launch for Centergy - all went just fine. GORGEOUS day - we played outside and went to look at a boat and then went to Ann and Chris' house. Then off to eat at Dean and Deluca which has an outdoor area with a huge fountain. All four boys played tag, hide and go seek and chase. Very nice. Wes ate Greek Chicken Artichoke Salad, sushi, tuna sandwich, goat cheese salad and pizza. Rest of kidlets ... ate pizza.

Worst Part of the Day - I think my meal (and drinks) yesterday might have been a bit rich for my new healthy system. Blah.

Best Part of the Day - Made it to two classes at the gym - back is feeling okay, not perfect. Erik out looking at boats all day - I think we shall have something soon :) Then my pal and I went out to dinner at PF Changs - orange peel shrimp and organic agave margaritas. Amazing and soooo relaxing!

Worst Part of the Day - So exhausted at one point that I had to lay my head down - I could not keep my eyes open.

Best Part of the Day - So we're at the Centergy practice (the two other instructors and I). I realize that these two don't really even know the release yet and are super calm about it all. So I'm teaching them the release and it's all kind of funny. I guess it's always the way - the new person is always the best prepared. Then an impromptu McDonald's playland romp with M and her two boyz. It twas relaxing and fun to sit and chat. Too bad her sweet Connor ended up getting bitten by another kiddo. Can be a rough place, that MickeyD's.

Worst Part of the Day - Still aching in the lower back.

Best Part of the Day - Trying on overpriced jeans at Nordstroms and having the salesgirl (I'm going to call her a 'girl' because she was 5'1" and about 90 lbs) scurry off to find me a smaller pair. Whoa. Then went home and tried on a pair of pants that really have not fit in four years ... and they fit. Whoa.

Worst Part of the Day - My back is still aching - I don't know what is up but I'm hatin' it. Also a snake that had taken up residence on our side door stairs had to be 'put to sleep' today. I had no idea what kind of snake it was, but had seen it in the same spot two times before. So we can now add 'snake killer' to my resume. Poor guy - I felt so badly about it :(

Best Part of the Day-

Ran into a friend at the Health Kids Day at the Y this morn. I was just gonna call her and there she was with her little one. We took the kiddies around the fun zones together and chatted away while the young ones partook in all the healthy events.

Then took kiddies to a fun party at the inflatable party zone, Pump It Up, this eve. Very fun to see other mom/friend/host--also delightful to catch up with her while the crazy kids jumped and played the eve away. Love the cardio party!!

Worst Part of the Day-

For no reason whatsoever, Liam whipped the remote control at the flat screen t.v. in our family room. Of course it broke the damn, flimsy thing right then and there. A standard t.v. would never have been phased such an action. I was about to fly off the handle and then I thought instantly, "who the hell cares? It's a stupid t.v. and I don't even like my kids watching it." (See, I'm totally in my get rid of worldly possessions stage...) I told the kids, "That's fine, no more t.v." Liam said later, "Sorry about the t.v., Mom. I just threw that (remote) at it and it broke." Yes, my sweet. And who the hell cares???

My back gate/fence broke off due to the fair breeze today. Are you kidding me??? It just hit me that I need to sell this house and many of my worldly possessions. It's all bugging me and I don't need much...and it's a big pain to have your loved ones move all of your things when you die. I'm scaling back from my already-scaled-back status.

Worst Part of the Day-

Worked for 9 hours straight (with Will-O and 4 of his cousins and 1 aunt) cleaning, organizing, packing and moving every last thing out of his dad's home. Holy team effort, Batman.

Then (me) driving 5 hours home with kiddies (as Will-O drove his dad's car lead a U-Haul caravan) and finally unpacking a small home's worth of items into my garage at midnight. (oh my.)

Best Part of the Day-

Do they always end up being a 'beautiful service'? The visitation and funeral mass were well done (perfect and touching speeches by Dan and Tom), very special (the priest was great!) and yes, it was a beautiful service. Well done on the final touches, Will-O. Well done, indeed.

I do enjoy the O'Neill cousins!!

Worst Part of the Day-

My kids were kind of a handful this fine, long day. A nanny would have been key. Scarlet was quite sassy in church and Liam was channeling his grandfather's spirit as he danced like a shaman in the church aisles for all to see (that he doesn't go to church.)

Also, hard to run through the drive-thru to feed your starving kids when you are leading a funeral procession. We left the hotel at 10:30am looking snazzy and arrived back 8 hours later (visitation, mass, burial) for the wake looking frazzled--this equals some hungry, crabby kidlets.

Fun With Older Folks:

When Scarlet was introduced to her Great Uncle John (who looks and sounds eerily like Grandpa Bill), she turned pale and whispered to me, "That's not my uncle, that's the ghost of Grandpa Bill!"

My mom came to collect the kiddies for a day of spring time fun at a llama farm, nature trail hiking, playgrounding and an overnight stay (so Will-O and I could separately plan and prep for the funeral trip tomorrow.) Ahhhhhhh.

Worst Parts of the Day-

1. Scarlet had a TANTRUM over the jeans I had packed for her to wear to the llama farm. She is either way too old or way to young (think bee-yatchy teen crying about her wardrobe) to be doing this on a Sat. morn. omg.

2. Worked, moved, planned and organized all darn day to the night. Did finish every last detail, but mylanta, it was midnight when the chores were done...(wtf???)

Best Part of the Day - Good little gym practice for Centergy - starting to feel less stressed.

Worst Part of the Day - While I was upstairs, Wes pooped on the potty (as well he should since he's been potty trained since August.) He then decided that the correct way to wipe himself was to throw an entire package of non-flushable baby wipes in the toilet AND then partially dissolve an entire roll of toilet paper in the sink. I walked into our bathroom and was sincerely flabbergasted. Do you know how hard it is to get toilet paper that has partially dissolved out of a sink?? No wonder I never get to finish a cup of coffee in the three hours I have from the time they wake up until we leave for school. AARRRGGGHHH.

Best Part of the Day - Back to school with the babes. Erik now has a rental place in F-ville, so he was able to hang out until 6:30 p.m. and then leave which was SO nice (and I'm sure will be doubly nice for him on Tuesday morning).

Worst Part of the Day - Just practicing and practicing and practicing for this Centergy release - my lower back is hurting. Probably means I'm doing it wrong.

Also Wes decided to poop in the bath this evening which threw me into a tizzy. I know dern well this is on purpose. That child!!

Best Part of the Day - Took the little ones to the UNCC Botanical Gardens and it was a HIT. We toured this beautiful Asian garden and both found it really interesting. There was a party of some sort going on and the boys were offered lemonade and orange cream cake. Also bugs to be watched and flowers to smell.

Worst Part of the Day - Figuring out some future plans .... but it really wasn't the worst. Actually turned out rather well.

Best Part of the Day - Took boyz to the gym. Then Erik took them on a three hour playground, popsicle run while I learned Centergy. Then we decided to head on out for Hibachi as we thought the boyz would love the show and Wes would love the food. The show was only so/so, but Wes (of course) ate everything given him. He even used child-friendly chop sticks which was absolutely hilarious. Quinn ate Chicken Tempura (after being bribed with ice cream). Nice, nice day.

Worst Part of the Day - Have so much more of that Centergy to learn. Booooo - I just want to watch my latest obsession (Rescue Me) in peace.

Best Part of the Day - Impromptu McDonald's playland date with friend J and her two boyz. She cracks me up. Also ate Sushi from grocery store in the playland which made J chuckle.

Worst Part of the Day - So for this class I teach - there are four new releases every year. The next release is in nine days and I have to launch it and teach it. I haven't really looked at it all that much. Shite - I better get on top of that.

Found out my car has been guzzling gasoline by the barrel by having a spark plug issue, thus only firing 4 of 6 cylinders of the engine. Guess I am pleased to have it diagnosed and treated...but this really has sucked it up for my carbon footprint. (I was doing do well being a heat and electric and water miser...)

My mom called out of the blue (well, we talk each and everyday...) and offered to take the kiddies overnight Friday so I can do my things I must do on top of the working and cleaning thangs I do do. I must organize and make a photo collage of Bill and family for the funeral and also gather and pack all items for all my little peeps for said funeral.

Best Part of the Day - Hit the gym and then went to the playground with M and her two boyz for a picnic lunch. The boyz all played really, really well together and lasted quite some time. The rain drove us away - Hooray, let's get rid of this pollen! The pollen is so abundant this year that the cars, car tired, streets, sidewalks, stairs, porches look like they are covered with powered snow (but yellow). The various pollen counts are about 100x times higher than last year due to the colder than normal winter and then the 87 degree days we've been having (yup - we all know a lot about pollen around here. It's the hot topic.)

Also found out today that the plumber I thought had stood me up on Monday came while I was out and about (Erik was here) and fixed our downstairs toilet! What the ... I used it and it seems to be working just fine :)

Worst Part of the Day - Long afternoon due to rain. Is it wrong to let your three year old watch many episodes of The Pink Panther? (They call it The Pink Tiger.) I think I'm going to remove it from Roku (the dealie that streams Netflix to our TV.) Too violent and kind of an annoying show.

Wes - So Wes has this bff Connor who we've been hanging out with this whole week. They are bff's from preschool. If you ask either who is your best friend they will say the others name. So I ask Wes (just because I think it is adorable) "who is your best friend?" He thinks and then says "Zachary." Now Zachary is Connor's older brother (about Quinn's age). Wes does love the BIG kids - he's really partial to hanging with them. So I say "Why is Zachary your best friend?" And Wes says "because he has video (bideo) games!" Yup - that's my BFF criteria too.

Best Part of the Day - Playdate/Party at M's house. She has the best backyard - very large and fenced in with lots to do. We got there around 10:45 a.m. and left around 2:30 p.m. Sunny and hot. Kiddos all played well together (not perfectly - but really how rare is THAT?) Wes even went down for a nap afterward. FINALLY - we have tired him out. Later in the afternoon we all laid in the hammock, ate popsicles and swang away.

Worst Part of the Day - I really feel somewhat trapped in terms of running a simple errand this week - with Erik gone and school out, it's a tough prospect.

Best Part of the Day - Left for the zoo with pal M and her two kiddos at 8:30 a.m. It twas 85 degrees. The animals were rather lethargic. Wes got territorial regarding the stroller seat. The kiddos really thought the best part was the 4-D Dora and Deigo movie (so glad we went to the zoo then). We took said kiddos to Chik-Fil-A at 4:30 p.m. and watched the four of them run and run and run (in the playarea) for another hour and a half. Arrived home just after 6 p.m. with dirty overtired boyz - baths and bed. BEAT.

Worst Part - Took me a bit to get Wes down ... he was overtired and I was overtired and frustrated.

Best Part of the Day - for Day One of Spring Break 10 - I had the kiddos to the gym and then to a playground to hang with friends and then to the grocery store and then to pick up the dogs (we are keeping Chris and Ann's dog Zoe while they Disneyland it up) and then home. Whew. Maybe a bit much for Day One. Mama already exhausted.

Worst Part of the Day - It is really hard for me to grocery shop with the boys. At one point, I stamped my foot like a preschooler. I came home with random items and not what I even went in for .... not to mention the bad behavior and the crying and hitting and leaning on the UCheck (the check out yourself machine) and eating unwashed grapes while seated on the ground .... man, I miss preschool.

Best Part of the Day-
Made 2 yummy, fresh, organic meals (as I only had 1 job to attend...) I love to cook and prepare the fresh goodies. I swear I would make it my life's work to prep healthy and delish meals for my fam--if only I could...

Also took the kiddies and 1 of Scarl's school pals to the zoo. Fun and funny and lotsa fresh air.

Worst Part of the Day-
This is the type of day I could sleep away--if only I could...

Will-O gave me a wonderful massage as I have had a major stiff neck for about a week. Holy cow, did it help. (Forgot his massage skillz are top notch...I have yet to find a massage therapist as qualified...)

Best Part of the Day-
A lovely and relaxed gathering at Terinel's home in Chicago. A perfect, urban Easter egg hunt and the cutest baskets eva! Later the fam (took the kids!) went on a walk while I sipped mimosas and chatted with A-Lo while lounging on the comfy couch. Great to see everybody!!

Worst Part of the Day-
Driving back home late in the day. Wanted to snooze, instead.
Also--my cell died out of nowhere and therefore did not meet up with friend!!!

A lot of calls, emails, communicating in regards to Will-O's father. Nothing going according to plan with the final plans Will-O's father made and paid for regarding funeral arrangements. Continue to feel for poor Will-O...

Also feeling for my poor self as the kids were insanely whiney and crazy today. I was so pleased to put them to bed.

Worst Part of the Day-
Shockingly and awfully, Will-O drove to find his father dead in his home. Terrifying and terrible and a nightmare for poor Will-O. Though not totally unexpected, yet somehow stunningly unexpected.

Best Part of the Day-
Just my standard sunggling up with the kiddies in the nighttime. Feeling safe and warm surrounded by my lil' family.

Best Part of the Day-
Will-O has made plans to go and visit his father whom he has been VERY worried about for the last week or so. I helped Will-O arrange for a home health nurse to check on his dad (4.5 hours away) as well as some council woman for the aging. Both checked in on him Tuesday and he told them curtly to "go away" as he doesn't need help. Will-O and his mom leave tomorrow morn to check on the situation of Old Man Will-O, help clean his place, etc. It will give all a good sense of relief to know the man is o.k.

Worst Part of the Day-
Had a work meeting until 9:30pm. Come on, now.

Happy 6 1/2 B-day to my Scarlet!! She has been couting down these days...now 6 1/2 will be oh so much more grown-up than just plain ol 6!

Best Part of the Day-
Headed to Cuz K.'s for a lil' evening fun 'n games. It was 70-ish degrees and delightful to be socializing on a school night.

Worst Part of the Day-
Just before getting in the car to go to Cuz K.'s (and we are on a tight time budget as it is a school night and we only have 2 hours or so of fun...) Scarlet had informed me in her perfect tattling voice, "Liam pooped in the yard! Well, I told him it was o.k." Folks, not just did he poop in the yard, he stepped in it one hundred times and it was smeared all over the grass and the patio. I was livid. It took us an extra 1 hour for me to clean everything up (I was on my hands and knees cleaning grass for goodness sake!), then change Liam's and my own clothes and shoes. So we had 1 hour less for play time fun at Cuz K's. Also--why is Scarlet telling him it is o.k. to poop in the yard. It is not like we are in the wilderness on a camping trip. Livid.

Best Part of the Day - Super fun Easter Egg hunt at Nana and Papa's house. Then to the beach. Then back to the house to shower up and pack up.

Worst Part of the Day - Kiddos up WAY too early. 5:15 a.m. Wes a nightmare due to lack of sleep. On the road by 6 p.m. Looong drive. Thankfully kiddos slept most of the way.

Best Part of the Day - Beach was fun - my boyz finally seemed to get it and were happy to play and wade in the water. Community Easter Egg hunt (Wes a bit too aggressive. "Can MY child get some eggs?" asked one mother to Erik citing Wes' over eagerness. He was running and blocking other kiddos. Quinn simply walked to eggs and calmly picked them up.) Then cornhole and beers and margaritas.

Worst Part of the Day - Kiddos up WAY too early. Wes is having some regression regarding potty training. He pooped his pants and then later left logs of poop in Nana and Papa's house (thankfully on the hardwood). I think it is TRULY to get a reaction - and boy, he is getting a reaction. Erik and I have promised to be calm about it now and just calmly say "well I guess you now have to wear a diaper for the rest of the day :(" That is the only thing that makes him say "no! Oh no - no diaper." Sigh and double sigh.

Best Part of the Day - The new phone I spontaneously ordered for Erik (he has not been able to use his 8 key without pressing for four seconds for months and months) came today. It is the Droid and has Internet (which I know is standard to some peeps, but very new to us). I played with it the entire way to Hilton Head. We are both very pleased with his new phone :)

Worst Part of the Day - Drive to Hilton Head was BRUTAL. Friday off for Easter + start of Spring Break = traffic snarls. Booooo. Also all four Reitter cousins all fired up and hard to get them to bed. My two had to be separated and then finally went to snoozeland. After a sub-par salad we had a little time to chat. But then soon it twas time for beddy bye.

Best Part of the Day - Kidlet Easter party at school so they were ALL fired up. Erik drove home tonight (he has Friday off) and picked up the kiddos at the gym. So by the time I got home from teaching class, they were bathed, brushed and bedded. Bliss!

Worst Part of the Day - Headache persists. Also friend J made me go on a run today through our neighborhood. I did pretty good but as soon as I stopped I could feel my hip flexors tense up and stay that way.

Happy Birthday Sister Sarah. I have no ideer how old you are because I have no ideer how old I am. Let's just agree to stop counting.

Best Part of the Day - Got some erranding done today. It's gorgeous out - 72 and sunny. I'll TAKE it. Like I'm living in La Jolla - but without the Ocean or California cool. Childruns actually played nicely outside - less refereeing than the usual.

Worst Part of the Day - New schedule for my class came out ... they gave me Sundays at 11:15 a.m. I think I no likee. But it is really worse than dragging kiddos?? Think I'll give it a month and then check back in (oh and thanks for checking with me oh gym schedulers.)

Best Part of the Day-
Babs and I took out Cuz S. for her b-day. Quite nice dining at hipster joint in S.'s neighborhood--complete with yummy beers and menu made exclusively from local farm. Tasty and fun to celebrate and support the indie establishment...perfect in honor of Cuz S.

Also-the kiddies handled it in stride when I came home for work for 1 minute solely to brush hair and teeth prior to jetting off to meet lasses. No carrying on from the littles! Amazing.

Worst Part of the Day-
Cranked out some work at job #1. Note: job #1 could be more blow off than hospital job (as it would take much effort to kill someone in job #1--and relatively easy to do in job #2), but today I put the petal to the metal and may not have even taken 1 minute to slack off (or pee or eat...).
I just meant to do some quasi-work internet searches and did not.

Will-O is being exceedingly calm and appropriate since his recent moment of clarity. Dare I say it is quite refreshing.

Worst Part of the Day-
Encountered a 34 year-old dying of breast cancer at job #2...omg. Can we please agree that there is something environmental (in the water, in the food???) going on here? Why does every major city in America have a Cancer Institute. This is not giving me a peace of mind.

Took the kidlets to my parents' after Miss S.'s final gymanstics "showcase". Fun to let the wild child beasts roam and while the adults had din and wine.

Worst Part of the Day-
I really want to work on this project, but then again, maybe I don't 'cause at the end of the day I just want to chill and watch Mad Men...perhaps this is why writers have only 1 job: to write.
