I have never done this prior, but I broke down and took the kids to McDonald's Playland this eve for din and a lil play after my 10 hour day. They loooooved it and I enjoyed simply sitting and watching them run and play so sweetly with big and littles alike (even if I did look like a tired robot with fairly major dark circles under thine eyes.)
I can see the full-time working moms come to McD's on a thrice weekly basis. It=easy fun. (It also=obesity issues...)
Worst Part of the Day-
Holy cats, I am beat. 5 days down of full-time fun and I am beat. I do declare it's not solely the working part but the rush to deliver and then pick up kids pre and post-work. Oh my.
Side Note:
Friendliest Playland ever (or is this how they always are?):
One mom came up to me after I had to have a chit chat with my sassy and conniving dauther. The mom said, "I need to tell you that I love your dialogue with her. More moms need to take the time and really talk to their kids. That was excellent. Bravo!" I was stunned as I absorbed the compliment. I had to break it to the nice mom that I was calmly chastising my daughter for drinking her brother's hot chocolate--after she slammed her own, after I clearly told her not to, after I asked her to think of how she may react if he even had 1 sip of hers...she did it anyway stating, "I'm obsessed with McDonald's hot chocolate--I couldn't resist!"
Another mom commented on how she loves the name Scarlet and a grandma/grandpa set were chasing Liam around saying how they loved his name!?! Fun on a Friday.
