Finally able to help others now that my lil one is nearly 3 (it's hard to assist when ya can barely keep your head above water...)--assisted Will-O's mom with her 'to-do' list and felt great about checking off things like a mad woman. Also found her emerald ring my kids had lost---eek. Found, whew. At the end of the 3 hour shift Will-O's mom started to go into a little spiel about how she feels much better after her 'to do' list is complete. I had to stop her mid-sentence--yes, fair lady, I know the deal. Welcome to my world. Love to help.
Worst Part of the Day-
Had to cancel St. Nick for the kiddies as they were Beelzebub twins. Using full on bribery (against all parenting books), I told the kids that St. Nick will be in town for another day or so and to get it together if they want the goods. Dudes.
Parenting books can kiss it....bribery is the only way sometimes. 'get 'er done!'
